Report from Birmingham vegan food fair

Postby mvc94 on Tue Jan 22, 2008 7:18 pm

We staged our first free vegan food fair on Sat 10 November. It was held at a church hall in Kings Heath, a bustling suburb of B`ham. We estimate that up to 700 people attended!! Food was flying off the tables faster than our volunteers could replenish it!! Despite preparing mountains of food, we ran out well before the end of the event!

Aswell as the food, there were lots of stalls, a cookery demo, nutrition talks and a talk about the environmental impact of meat and dairy.
